Seriously, I would love to make games like this for a living. Arknights is the popular tower defense game, themed in the classic anime style and voiced by several Japanese voice actors and actresses. I'll get the pop-up window, but it's completely blank. The only way to beat this is to memorize the attack waves.Īlso, the in-game advice sometimes doesn't display. But sometimes, within that same level, there will suddenly be an attack wave that completely breaks through.
In most levels, you might be able to anticipate the incoming jellies and place towers appropriately. To me, this is like the difference between someone memorizing school test answers, vs someone understanding strategy.
The only way to master this game is just to memorize the levels. One level is super easy the next is dumbfounding. I'm saying this game does things that don't make sense, like attack waves progressing inappropriately. That would normally be a good thing, but I'm not talking about mastering some skill, based on strategy. In playing Jelly Defense, I have to agree with some of the other reviewers: Cool game, but inexplicably difficult to beat. It's pretty much the only thing I get from the app store these days. This game has frustrated me to the point where I'm writing my first review ever.
